The Studio
DDG is a venture studio and supporting fund that works with EIRs and independent founders to build businesses using Deliberate Innovation.
Focus
We work across software and AI for healthcare, biotech, cybersecurity, and cloud infrastructure. Our team includes three PhDs in computer science and AI, two MDs, experienced founders, investors, and board members.
Origins
DDG is the successor to Flashpoint@GeorgiaTech, which was incubated inside the university beginning in 2011, and spun out as an independent accelerator + fund 2015-2019. We are launching a new cohort in 2025. Read more about Flashpoint’s history.
Philosophy
Innovation thrives on reciprocity: the innovator acts, prompting others to respond in a way that sustains the innovator's actions. This creates a self-reinforcing cycle where both behaviors support ongoing innovation. For more, read The Heart of Innovation.
